How should I approach then? I’m currently in class, can post tonight! Thanks a lot, [–]go_cubs_go_20 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago (0 children). Like most surgery fields, your fit and how residents/attendings like you is more than half the battle. - Didn't get much done in the next 30 days, had a major cancer scare with my dad and I was too distracted. USMLE Step I score was not correlated with h-index for academic neurosurgeons (R2 = 0.002, P = .36). [–]jenniferwangusmle 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago (5 children). Congrats on your score, it is still great! [–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago (2 children). Has been 4 weeks, but still haven't got my score. Rather, it means that a high Step 1 score is necessary, but not sufficient, to get into a competitive residency. I have done my step 1 exam on January 22, 2020. Nbme 23 236 Got my score today, test was on 1/31. It' too late to change the strategy. Did you people get an email that tells you where (like on oasis for the IMGs) the score is to be found or does the email itself contain the score? I used to be a residency program director, so I feel comfortable answering. [–]Suspicious_Somewhere2020: 253 5 points6 points7 points 9 months ago (0 children).
